![]() In 2022, First Woman was a Webby Winner and a People’s Voice Award winner for best Integrated Mobile Experience. An application with extended reality features and educational tools about real cutting-edge technologies that enable space exploration is available in the Apple and Google Play stores. Print and digital versions of the graphic novel are available in English and Spanish. NASA’s first interactive graphic novel, First Woman: NASA’s Promise for Humanity, imagines the story of Callie Rodriguez, a little girl who dreams of space and grows up to become the first woman to set foot on the Moon. Our NASA experts, including Apollo flight director Gerry Griffin, answered questions live about Orion breaking the Apollo 13 record for farthest distance traveled from Earth during this Twitter Spaces event. The Artemis I mission was also featured extensively on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, GIPHY, Reddit, and Google Arts and Culture. ![]() The program also offered downloads of the Artemis Virtual Guest Passport and Artemis I Virtual Guest Mission Stamp. The program registered over 335,000 guests and sent over 4 million email updates. The Artemis I Virtual Guest Program brought along hundreds of thousands of people from 173 countries to the Moon and back. The group toured Kennedy Space Center and had an opportunity to watch the launch in-person. They included: 2 Harlem Globetrotters, a participant from ABC television’s The Bachelorette, a Spanish-speaking actor and musician, published science fiction authors, and a crewmember from the Inspiration 4 mission. Our attendees represented 27 states and four different countries. We invited almost 100 participants from all over the world to take part in one of our largest in-person NASA Social events. The takeover also featured posts written in Hebrew and German. ![]() The takeover included external partners, such as and The account translated many of the Moonikin’s tweets into Spanish. This takeover represented a collaboration between NASA, DLR (German Aerospace Center), and ISA (Israel Space Agency). If I need some space fantasy, I'd play "X4: Foundations".The trio also “live tweeted” from lunar orbit on the day the spacecraft hit its maximum distance from Earth. Simplified or not, KSP is about real technology with proven (or at least doable) technology. Why not "EMDrive" or space siphons, for example?Īnd multiplayer? With the "developer" describing it as "I never heard people laugh so hard", nonetheless!!! Since when KSP became about "LOOK, what a cool explosion!" and not about "wonderful designs breaking up against the harsh reality of physics"? The Orion drive (not to be confused with the capsule by the same name)?!! On what premise are we supposed to comply with that discarded utopian project (with nuke bombs as the "fuel"). Updated graphics and rewritten from scratch engine is one thing (even if it is an excuse not to support Linux), but going full space opera fantasy is entirely different!Īnother solar systems? How, on what "hyperdrive" are they gonna get there (in a reasonable timeframe)?! Speaking of which, I think this "Uber Entertainment", I mean "Star Theory" is making some sort of hollow KSP-lookalike abomination. So, thechnically, it is not the same people who made the KSP who are now "abandoning us". :STo be honest, I must point out that "KSP2" is being developed by completely different studio under the mandate from the publisher (maybe because it wasn't sure in Squad's capabilities after all of the initial staff has left it?). ^_^ Quoting: KimyrielleFunny how quick Indie developers are with abandoning us, as soon as they get bigger and more famous. Not that we won't benefit from updated textures and new parts, of course. I am afraid, anything else is wishful thinking by this point. In the news there is not only any words about new API for Linux, but it is explicitly stated that the new API is "DirectX 11". AFAIK, they can simply choose to continue to use OpenGL 3.3 core profile (or "compatibility profile" or something like that). A developer's will to use it is mandatory. It all helps. In my understanding, it is not enough for the engine (Unit圓D in this case) to support a feature (advanced features of OpenGL). Even if they're not doing Vulkan, it will likely be smoother on OpenGL since more advanced features work better and are supported on OpenGL in later releases. Quoting: Liam DaweEach update of Unity improves all the APIs, OpenGL and Vulkan included.
